Fifteen-plus years at Vertex, every step on the technical ladder — Operations, IT, TAM, Tier III Supervisor, Manager, Consultant, Architect. I lead by building. The platforms I've shipped take work that used to take days and turn it into a self-service drop-down; the AI systems I design make decisions, not summaries. Oracle → O Series AI Reconciliation Agent · demoed at Vertex Exchange 2025 · productizing
AI agent that reconciles tax data between Oracle source systems and Vertex O Series — surfacing mismatches, classifying their cause, and proposing resolutions in language a tax operator can act on. Replaces a manual line-by-line tie-out. Demoed in front of customers at Vertex Exchange 2025; being incorporated into the product roadmap.
Natural-Language Tax Readout · patent pending
PoC that takes raw O Series transaction output, enriches it with surrounding context, and explains the result in plain language — closing the gap between dense jurisdiction-heavy engine output and what a human user actually needs to understand. Patent application in process.
SME-Driven Best-Practice Agent · patent pending
Agent that ingests recorded SME interviews, distills them into structured Q&A pairs, and uses those pairs to enrich standard RAG retrieval so assistants answer the way the expert would, not just the way the docs are written. Patent application in process.
K3s "Jukebox" — On-Demand Environment Provisioning Platform
Internal Platform-as-a-Service. Pick an O Series version, database, Java version, module config — minutes later, a fully-configured environment is live. Eliminated manual builds; unblocked non-infra users.
Buddy — Personal Operations Platform · 2024–present · self-built
Self-hosted family operations platform — FastAPI single-page dashboard backed by a Neo4j knowledge graph, role-scoped access for 5 household members, ~10 KLOC across 16 sections. Six external integrations (Home Assistant, Frigate, BlueBubbles, Telegram, Gmail IDLE, local Ollama); live PnL aggregator over 3 trading bots with decimal-safe math and stale fallback; full auth rewrite to argon2id + CSRF + TOTP + IP-ban with a 49-test pytest suite. ~18 months in continuous use, 27M+ market candles, 98 belongings, 80 receipts.
Multi-Agent Home Orchestration
Parent + scoped child agents, MCP transport, local LLMs, state-aware decisioning. Brought the underlying n8n + MCP pattern into Vertex as a secure orchestration platform for enterprise PoCs.
Real-Time Visual Tax Checkout (Jetson Nano)
Personal-time build. Object detection classifies an item rolled past the camera and calls Vertex O Series live for the correct tax. Vision → classification → enterprise tax engine.
Enterprise Tax Knowledge Corpus for LLMs
Vector-searchable, jurisdiction- and entity-tagged corpus that turned product, legislative, and KB content into a real RAG foundation.
Distributed AI Compute Fabric (k3s + GPU)
Multi-node k3s with NVIDIA GPU scheduling, Longhorn, HA Postgres — production-shaped substrate for AI workloads at home.
Autonomous Crypto Trading System
Multi-signal AI decisioning: OHLC price action, sentiment, market trend; OCO orders with dynamic stops; rolling performance windows.
Experience
Software Architect III — Vertex, Inc.
Designed and built three production-bound AI systems: an Oracle ↔ O Series reconciliation agent (demoed at Vertex Exchange 2025, on the product roadmap), a natural-language tax-readout system (patent application in process), and a best-practice agent that distills SME interviews into Q&A pairs to enrich RAG (patent application in process). Built the product data corpus underpinning them. Oversaw external contractors on tax configuration visualization tooling.
Consultant IV — Vertex, Inc.
Led O Series environment automation on k3s + Longhorn + Node-RED + Python — became the K3s Jukebox platform. Stood up HA Postgres. Integrated AnythingLLM across major LLM providers. Built the Jetson Nano visual checkout demo.

Owned the top support tier. Managed FTE engineers and contractors. Escalation lead for high-value customers across application, database, and network.
